During construction, all daily Masses, funerals and meetings will be moved from St. Margaret's to Blessed Sacrament until the Lift is operational. Weekend liturgies will continue at St. Margaret's.

UPDATE ON THE HANDICAPPED LIFT

AT SAINT MARGARET’S

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to make the lift happen. Please note that during the construction period from Now until Mid-September all daily Masses, funerals and meetings will be held at Blessed Sacrament Parish. The gates will be closed to public access at this time. The two weekend Masses at St. Margaret’s will continue to be celebrated, but parishioners should be careful when walking around the construction site

Welcome Becca

We are happy to announce that, effective July 1, Rebecca Hart has joined the staff as Youth Minister. She is originally from Lynn, and grew up in Sacred Heart Parish there. Rebecca graduated from Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH, and has been teaching theology in a local Catholic high school there. She describes her return to Massachusetts as “a homecoming.” And Fr. Tim says, “We are delighted that Becca is here with us in this very key position. She will be a tremendous resource in our ongoing commitment to the young people of our community.”

The Women’s Guild is starting our Pennies From Heaven fundraiser on Sat. July 6th 2019 until Founder’s Day Sat. Sept. 7th 2019. See you after Mass!!

The Catholic Appeal

The 2019 Catholic Appeal response from St. Margaret’s and Blessed Sacrament is as of June 24th the following, Saint Margaret has met its’ goal. Blessed Sacrament 93% have contributed $30,088. towards a goal of $32,337. The large increase from last week is due to a donation from a generous parishioner. ( Blessed Sacrament is short $2,249. as of this date) These donations are used to support more than 50 ministries, which serve the needs of all parishes within our Archdiocese, including both parishes of our Saugus Collaborative. If you did not receive a pledge form in the mail, please pick one up at the church or the Collaborative Office. Thank you in advance for your support of this year’s Catholic Appeal.

Outdoor Mass & Barbecue

September is just around the corner. It is the time of the year when everything starts up again. What better way to begin the year than with a Collaborative Outdoor Mass! If you recall, or maybe you heard from some who have participated, the last four years’ celebrations were great collaborative events... It provides a time for people of both parishes to come together to pray, celebrate, to ask God’s blessing on the year, and to have fun. As in past the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in the yard behind the Blessed Sacrament Rectory, which houses the Collaborative offices. A barbecue in the front yard will immediately follow the Mass. There will be activities, games and a petting zoo for the children.

Religious Education Registration

Religious Education Classes will be starting in the fall. We have registration forms if you don’t have the one we sent. You can pick up a form at the rectory or click here to go directly to the form. We encourage you to take advantage of one of these opportunities to guarantee placement in the program. We need teachers for all grades. Registration at this time, will also allow us to have proper staffing for our programs
